Previewing and Testing Your Game

·course·2026-06-12

After the AI builds your game, the next step is to try it out. The preview lets you play your game exactly as others will, so you can see what works and what you might want to change before publishing.

Playing the preview

Once your draft is ready, you can play it right away in the preview. Interact with it just like a real player would — move, tap, react, and see how it responds. This is the best way to get a feel for your game.

What to look for

As you play, keep an eye on a few things:

  • Does it match your idea? Check whether the game captures what you had in mind.
  • Is it fun? Notice whether it's enjoyable and easy to pick up.
  • Does it look right? See if the visuals and characters fit the theme and style you chose.
  • Is the difficulty about right? Make sure it's not too easy or frustratingly hard.

Testing more than once

It's a good idea to play a few rounds. Sometimes a game feels different the second or third time through, and you might spot small things you missed at first. Play until you have a clear sense of what's good and what you'd like to adjust.

If something isn't right

Don't worry if the first version isn't perfect — that's exactly what the preview is for. You have two main ways to improve it:

  • Adjust the visuals by approving or changing the images and assets (covered next).
  • Edit and improve the game to refine how it plays.

Next

Once you've tested your game and know what you'd like to change, the next section shows you how to review and adjust the images and items the AI created.
